Writer and Director
Jonathan D. Morlu is a passionate Film Director, Writer, Cinematographer, Editor and VFX specialist who hails from Virginia. He graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in May 2016 with an undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Video and Film. Jonathan has directed over 14 short films and has had 7 years of experience in visual effects.
Jonathan’s films explore human nature, resilience, warfare, human depravity, the impact of fear, conspiracy and the psychological deformation, societal decay and perseverance of the human soul in times of great tragedy. He finds inspiration from Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese, Michael Hirst, Eiichiro Oda, Ridley Scott, James Cameron, George Lucas, Hajime Isayama, Stanley Kubrick, Peter Jackson, Hayao Miyazaki and David Fincher.
